Summer can be such an uplifting time for the soul. When the sun is shining it tends to lift us out of any winter-induced blues, as well as giving us the opportunity to get some much needed Vitamin D. Did you know that the majority of people here in the UK are actually Vitamin D deficient because of the lack of sun we get over the course of the year?
Of course the sun is a double edged sword; whilst it gives us life and essential vitamins, too much exposure can be extremely harmful to us and our skin. That’s why during summer, it’s essential that you give your skin the care and attention it needs to stay healthy.
Adequate sun cream is a no-brainer and we know you don’t need reminding of that!
But there are other things you can do to keep your skin hydrated. Our range of body butters are the perfect addition to your skincare regime; simply slather on the hydrating Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter after your bath or shower and watch your skin glow. We have a range of soothing body butters including, Lavender, Rose and Orange & Jasmine. However, my particular favourite is the Mango; with it’s fresh, sweet scent, high amounts of Vitamin A & C and anti-ageing properties, it’s an amazing product.
Our Neroli Flower Day Cream is an essential daily product that keeps your skin hydrated all day long. It’s a very light cream so won’t lie heavy on your face during the hot, sunny days but it’s extremely rejuvenating and has anti-anxiety/stress properties; perfect for when you’re getting hot and bothered in the heat!
However, one of my favourite products to use when the weather starts to pick up is an Organic Cooling Peppermint Foot Cream. This menthol treatment works wonders on hot, tired feet and is the perfect pick me up after a long day at work. We put our feet through a lot, especially if you work in an environment where you’re constantly on them. So they are one of the parts of the body that overheat the most. Your feet will thank you once you treat them to our refreshing cooling cream.
