How to Remove Make-Up Correctly

Taking care of our skin is one of the most important things we will ever do. Even though we lose thousands of skin cells every day, technically forming a brand new layer, we will only ever have one body which make it vital that we ensure it is as healthy as it can possibly be. Perfumes, creams and make up can all affect the quality of our skin and the condition is it in. Here at Buddha Beauty, we want to ensure that our readers know exactly how to keep their skin glowing which is why we are going to go over the steps that are involved in removing make up products correctly….

Why do we need to remove it?

Make up is placed on top of our skin and sits there for around 12 hours per day. This gives it plenty of time to seep into our pores and create pesky little spots that drive us crazy. In order to prevent a break out it is vital that all make up products are removed before we go to sleep. In addition to this, the makeup that sits on your face will collect dirt throughout the day so you will want to remove this too.

The Removal Process

  • You should start by washing your face with a mildly perfumed or completely scent free soap and warm water. It is not advised to use hot water as this will open you pores further. Simply pay your face with a damp cloth and remove as much product as possible.

  • Use a cotton facial pad and a makeup remover in order to clear away as much product as possible that you couldn’t remove during step one. If you do not have a makeup remover, simply opt for a wet wipe. Be careful not to get any product inside your eyes.

  • Finally, once the makeup has been remover, apply a toner that is suitable for your skin type in order to restore health to your skin. During this step you can also apply a moisturiser, especially if you have dry skin.

Helping our readers to correctly care for their skin is an important part of what we do here at Buddha Beauty which is why we decided to put this blog post together. It is also important to ensure that we have a healthy and water rich diet on top of these steps as the food we consume can also damage our skin. From toners to cleansers, our range of skincare products are perfect for removing make up! For more information, contact a member of the Buddha Beauty team today!
