Uses and Benefits of Hand Creams

Our hands go through more than we think. They brave the ever-changing weather, a cocktail of harsh chemicals from cleaning products and let's not even talk about the number of germs we come into contract with on a daily basis. It is imperative that we don’t neglect the treatment of our hands, especially when they become dry. One of the best things we can do is moisturising at random points during the day. Although any lotion will hold unspoken benefits, a cream which has been specially formulated for the hands will give the best results.

Here are some uses and benefits of using a hand butter…

To begin, here’s an educational lesson about the hands. Did you know that the skin on the back of our hands is the thinnest and most fragile skin on our bodies? Due to this, it needs the most care and protection. It also can become very dry quite quickly and is the first place in which wrinkles appear when we age. In contrast, the skin on our palms is much stronger and thicker. Whilst this is somewhat beneficial, it makes it difficult for moisture to enter the skin.

Using a moisturiser, or butter, which is specially formulated for the hands helps to reimburse any lost yet necessary moisture and keeps the skin on the back of the hands protected.

In addition to this, the skin on the back of our hands also comes into contact with UV rays on a daily basis. Yes, the cloudy weather is deceiving. A moisturiser or butter with an SPF of 15 or higher will give added daily protection from the harmful rays. It also protects from conditions such as skin cancer.

Here at Buddha Beauty, we have an excellent range of hand butters including, mango and rose. What more could a girl – or guy - ask for? Check out our vegan skincare products and get in contact for more information!
