If you haven't yet indulged in Buddha Beauty's Japanese Pear Cleansing Balm, you're simply not treating yourself as you should. Imagine the epitome of luxury but for your face. This is not your run-of-the-mill cleanser; it's an experience.

First off, the deep-cleaning prowess of this balm is akin to a detox retreat for your pores. It's thorough yet gentle—like silk on your skin. You'll bid farewell to even the most stubborn makeup as if it were last season's trends.

Do you have sensitive skin? Oily? Dry? It doesn't discriminate. This cleansing balm is the little black dress of skincare—flattering on everyone. Plus, it's laced with antioxidants courtesy of the Japanese pear extract. Your skin will be singing praises.

Cost per use is a non-issue. It's so concentrated that one jar is like an endless goblet of champagne—it just keeps giving.

And let's not overlook the scent—a divine infusion of Japanese pear that turns a mundane routine into an olfactory escapade. Every time you open the jar, it's as if you've been transported to a five-star spa.

Of course, in line with our commitment to Mother Earth, this lavish treat comes in eco-conscious packaging. Splurge without the guilt!

You simply must add this to your beauty arsenal. Trust me, once you try it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it."

Benefits

Deep Cleansing

Thorough Makeup Removal: Cleansing balms are effective at breaking down and removing heavy makeup, including waterproof mascara and long-wear foundation.

Nourishing Ingredients

Moisturising: Cleansing balms are often formulated with nourishing oils and butters that hydrate the skin, making them ideal for dry or mature skin types.

Skin Health

Gentle on the Skin: Because they are oil-based and usually free from harsh surfactants, cleansing balms are often more gentle on the skin than other types of cleansers, making them suitable for sensitive skin.

Convenience

One-Step Cleansing: For those who prefer a simple skincare routine, a cleansing balm can provide both cleansing and moisturising benefits in one step, eliminating the need for separate products.

Barrier Protection

Maintains Skin Barrier: The oils and butters in cleansing balms can help maintain the skin's natural lipid barrier, which is crucial for keeping skin hydrated and protected from environmental stressors.

Suitable for Dry Climates

Great for Dry Climates: If you live in an area with dry air, a cleansing balm can provide an extra layer of hydration that you may not get from a regular cleanser.

How To Use

Start with Dry Hands and Face: Unlike many other cleansers that require you to wet your face first, cleansing balms are generally applied to dry skin.

Scoop Out Product: Use a spatula or your fingers to scoop out a small amount of the cleansing balm. The amount may vary depending on the product and your needs, but a pea- to almond-sized amount is often sufficient.

Warm the Balm: Rub the balm between your fingertips to warm it up and transform it into an oil-like consistency.

Apply to Face: Gently massage the balm into your skin using upward, circular motions. Make sure to cover all areas of your face, and you can also apply it to your neck if desired.

Optional: Remove Makeup: If you're wearing makeup, spend some extra time massaging the balm into areas where the makeup is heavy, like around the eyes and lips. The balm is usually effective at breaking down even waterproof makeup.

Add Water: Wet your fingertips with a bit of warm water and continue to massage the balm into your skin. You'll notice it will turn into a milky consistency. This helps to emulsify the balm, making it easier to rinse off.

Rinse Off: Thoroughly rinse your face with lukewarm water. You may also use a soft, damp washcloth to gently wipe away the balm, especially if you've used it to remove heavy makeup.

Pat Dry: Use a clean towel to gently pat your face dry. Avoid rubbing as it can irritate the skin.

Follow-Up: Proceed with the next steps in your skincare routine, which could include toner, serum, and moisturiser.

Ingredients

Patch Testing

Choose the Area: Select a small, discreet area of your skin that's similar to your facial skin, like behind the ear or the inside of your elbow.

Cleanse and Dry: Wash the selected area with a gentle cleanser and pat it dry.

Apply the product: Dab a small amount of the product onto a cotton pad and apply it to the chosen area.

Wait and Observe: Let the product dry and leave it on for at least 24 hours, avoiding washing the area during this period.

Check for Reactions: After 24 hours, carefully examine the area for any signs of redness, itchiness, burning, or other irritation.

Recyling & Zero Wate

HDPE is typically labeled with a "2" inside the symbol. This is a widely recycled plastic.

Got questions? We got answer....

What is a Cleansing Balm and How Does It Differ from a Regular Cleanser?

A cleansing balm is a solid or semi-solid cleanser made from a blend of oils, butters, and waxes. Unlike regular foaming or gel cleansers that are water-based, cleansing balms are oil-based. They are excellent for breaking down makeup, sunscreen, and impurities without stripping the skin of its natural oils. They're often recommended for dry or sensitive skin but can be suitable for all skin types depending on the formulation.

Do I Still Need to Double Cleanse if I Use a Cleansing Balm?

Double cleansing is a method where you first use an oil-based cleanser (like a cleansing balm) to break down makeup and impurities, followed by a water-based cleanser to clean the skin. Whether you need to double cleanse depends on your skin type and needs. If you wear heavy makeup or sunscreen, a double cleanse may be beneficial.

Can I Use a Cleansing Balm if I Have Acne-Prone or Oily Skin?

While cleansing balms are often recommended for dry or sensitive skin, they can also be suitable for oily or acne-prone skin depending on the formulation.

Can I Use a Cleansing Balm to Remove Eye Makeup?

Yes, our cleansing balms are gentle enough to be used for removing eye makeup, including waterproof mascara. Always avoid getting the product directly in your eyes, and if irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider.
